Our Chili Pastes
How our chilis are made
YAKA chili pastes are made from locally grown green, yellow and red chilies. We adapted an original recipe to fully enhance the rich flavours of the chilies. We remove manually the seeds from our peppers. This results in more flavour without being too spicy.
Our chili pastes do not only add a spicy touch to your dishes, they add a lot of flavour. They are excellent with rice and pasta dishes, but can also be an additional ingredient to your sauces and marinades.
Chili Paste Green Pepper (mild)
This selection of irresistible chili pepper paste is made from fresh and locally grown green chilies.
Our green chili paste is our mildest one.
We created a unique balance between heat and flavors.

Jam Pineapple Hibiscus Vanilla
How can we resist this West African family recipe? Some call it Sobolo, Bissap or Zobo.
Great combination between this beautiful hibiscus flower and this juicy and sweet crowned fruit, pineapple.
With its dark purple colour, this fruit spread will perfectly go with oats at breakfast or simply as a perfect combination of fresh bread and our jam.

Jam Mango Orange Baobab
Two exotic fruits with a joyful orange colour.
Well balanced between the sweetness of the mango and acidulous notes of the passion fruit.
The combination of both fruits results in an original and surprising texture.
This jam contains also baobab fruit pulp, an excellent source of vitamin C.
Will go perfectly with pancakes or as an icing on cakes (cheesecake / sponge cake).

Moringa Blossom Honey
Our 100% pure honey produced mainly from the moringa flowers nectar.
This thick and smooth mono-floral honey comes from beehives located in our organic certified moringa farm in a remote area in the Central region of Ghana.
This allows our honey to be free from any pesticides.
We gently filter the honey and do not heat it in order to keep all the micronutrients and health benefits of this amazing natural product.

Fonio
What is it ?
Fonio is an ancient African grain which originates from the Sahel region. Fonio is considered a NUCS (Neglected and Underutilized Crop Species) and is often referred to as a ‘Lost Crop’. This nutritious ‘unknown’ grain got a well-deserved spot on the ‘Future 50 Foods’ list from Knorr and WWF!
Yaka sources its Fonio from an organization in the north of Ghana, who works with over 5000 local farmers. The organization manages the complete production chain to ensure correct processing, certification and logistics. Fonio can be used as an alternative to quinoa or couscous in for example salads or as the base of a dish. Yaka offers its high quality pre -cooked fonio in sachets of 250 gram. This accounts for 5 portions per sachet.
Positive impact of Yaka Fonio
Extremely healthy: It’s a natural gluten free grain! Fonio has high iron, amino acid and fiber contents, about3x as much as rice.Besides that, it has the highest calcium content amongst all grains.
Environmentally friendly: As fonio grows in the Sahel region, the production of crops helps against desertification in this region.
Socio-economically positive: Fonio promotes economic growth in low-income areas. As Fonio only grows in the Sahel region, and the commercialization has only just begun, there are huge opportunities for the region.Our partner already provides income to 5000 farmers in the Northern region in Ghana through their initiative.
